fois Bjoergen d'une victoire dans le Tour |

Justyna
Kowalczyk avait sans doute bien caché son jeu en
début de saison. Elle a bien préparé
son coup pour être au top au bon moment. Elle remporte
pour la troisième fois consécutive le Tour
de Ski, l'épreuve reine de la saison, une épreuve
que Marit Bjoergen ne gagnera peut-être jamais.
La Norvégienne en avait pourtant fait son principal
objectif et dans les prochaines saisons d'autres objectifs
seront au rendez-vous, Mondiaux de Val di Fiemme, Jeux
Olympiques de Sotchi.
Dans cette terrible montée, la Polonaise était
plus aérienne et motivée comme jamais. Elle
remporte donc le Tour de Ski avec28 secondes d'avance
sur Marit Bjoergen.
Comme on s'y attendait, le profil de cette étape
favorisait Therese Johaug. La jeune Norvégienne
a survolé toutes ses adversaires. Il aurait fallu
qu'elle soit bien plus près au général
au pied de la côte mais le pourra-t-elle un jour
? Ses problèmes en sprint la handicaperont sérieusement.
Rendons hommage à nos quatre Françaises
à l'arrivée. Elles se sont battues chaque
jour pour honorer leur sélection. Une mention spéciale
pour la plus régulière d'entre elles, Anouk
Faivre Picon ! La Jurassienne l'attendait cette dernière
étape, elle a pris une belle quatorzième
place qui lui permet de terminer à la 22ème
place au général.

“I was really tired today; the last kilometres were really
tough. My only thought the last kilometre was I need to go,
I need to go, especially with all the Polish fans out there”.
“I’ve felt really good throughout the entire Tour,
but when I was here for the first time with Petra Majdic it
was harder for me”.
“I need to rest now, and see the doctor. My next goal is
the World Cup in Poland which is really important to me”.

“The feeling was to try harder and harder, but today Justyna
was stronger than me and that’s fair. I’m happy with
the Tour de Ski, it’s a good feeling to know I can ski
good for 9 races at 11 days, it’s a good sign for my body”.
“It’s been a tough fight between Justyna and me, I
really wanted to win, but I’m happy with second place and
I think the entire Tour has been good for the sport of Cross-Country
skiing”.
“My goal next year is Val di Fiemme, I need to see how
the body is responding after the race, but my goal is still
to win Tour de Ski”.

“Yesterday the race wasn’t that good, I hoped to do
better today. It was a tough race, but I tried to do my best.
I had to push myself as I was walking by my best. My goal was
to have the best time of the day, which I managed”. “I’m
training a lot of uphills in my home town, and I really like
it”.
“I will have a few days off to relax with my family now;
my next race will be in Otepää”. |
